Chonchi

This small typical village on the island of Chiloé has the church of San Carlos, built in 1754 by the Jesuits. The local speciality is "licor de oro", a milk-based brandy. Its name means "Slippery Earth" and refers to its steep streets. With its small handicraft market and Jesuit church, Chonchi reflects the atmosphere and living environment of Chiloé.
