Ahu Vinapu

Ahu Vinapu is a set of ceremonial platforms or Ahu. The main platform is the largest on the island. All the Moaïs present on the site are overturned here and it is therefore not so much the statues that make the interest of the site but rather the construction of the platform itself. Indeed, we find here an "Inca wall", a construction made of impressive blocks of stone perfectly adjusted, looking exactly like the types of walls found in Cusco, Peru, the capital of the Incas. This site thus opens the way to the possible theory of a journey of the Inca people to Rapa Nui using boats built of reeds.
