What is the best season to come to Chile?

The best season to visit Chile as a whole is without hesitation between October and June when the weather conditions are favorable. No need to take any precautions if you can travel during this period.

Then you have to deal with the geo-climatic specificities of each region:

Easter Island: pleasant all year round.
Santiago and Valparaiso: accessible all year round.
Puerto Montt - Chiloé: accessible all year round. Regular rains.
San Pedro de Atacama: ideal season from October to June.
- Intense rainfall for about two weeks and randomly in January or February.
- Altiplanic winter in July and August, heavy snow on the roads leading to some sites.

In these two cases, depending on the amount of rainfall, some sites may be closed. It is impossible to predict if this will happen and when exactly.
